Expansion & New Construction

Lindenwood University is in the middle of a bold campus expansion plan that blends the old with the new and provides facilities that will endure for Lindenwood's next 181 years.
The expansion already has yielded eight new 180-bed residence halls for Lindenwood students. In September, the university completed a $32 million, 138,000 square foot Fine and Performing Arts Center. Internationally-known star Liza Minnelli opened the center with fantastic performances September 11-12.
Due to Lindenwood's growth, the university has announced plans to construct a 100,000 square foot "commons" building for student activities. That building will include a second dining hall and plenty of areas for student recreation and relaxation. In addition, the university is in the early stages of designing a student apartment complex.
All this construction is a result of student demand. Lindenwood is experiencing the most rapid growth in its proud history, with more than 14,000 students projected for the 2008-2009 academic year. The fall semester opened with 3,700 resident students—a new record.
